Cute House: Do this to it!

This home has somehow been on the market for way longer than I would have ever expected.  Lucky for you, they just reduced the price to just $299,500.

It has great bones and the location is quite nice, looking out on to the Meadow Lark Country Club golf course.

I hosted an Open House a while back and the potential Buyers didn’t quite see all the potential…  So let me go ahead and show you just how great this home could be, especially now that the price allows you to do a total remodel.

I wouldn’t do much anything on the exterior.  But I would beef up the lighting.

Imagine something more substantial flanking that cobalt blue front door.

But if you feel like a change, consider a black paint job.

I’d rip out the soffit on the kitchen ceiling to make the room feel much bigger.

And add a mixture of wood and white shaker cabinets.

The fireplace needs a make over.  I would completely re face it and add built-ins on either side.  Add a large round dining table with comfy seating.  And ditch the track lighting.

 

 

The formal dining would look 100% better with a little molding and wallpaper.

All this room needs a lighter paint job and some hardwood floors… While you’re at it, install hard wood flooring throughout the entire home.

I’m not mad at the grass cloth wall paper in the home office.

The family room is HUGE.

Add tons of comfy seating and you’re all set.

The bonus room above the garage makes an awesome playroom for kids, a second home office or a pretty dope craft room.

A builder these days would charge you a pretty penny for cute window seats like these.

Just update the hardware and reupholster the seats.

Nothing at all needs to be done to the beautiful yard.  It’s well landscaped and has plenty of entertaining space.
