Cute house: Do this to it!

Check out this original single level mid century gem!  Our market is hot, hot, hot— so I bet it will go quickly.  Don’t hesitate if you see my vision and want to make this place your new home!

I’m sure it’s fine in it’s original condition, but how boring would this post be if I wasn’t here to share some inspiration to make it a show stopper:

I know I say it every time, but this.. house.. should.. be.. black!  A creamy white or olive green would also be great.   The important thing is that it has mid century vibes, so stick to it!

Tidy up the landscaping a bit.  A paver walkway would look great!

I’m not sure what the back yard looks like.. but it should totally have this vibe- complete with a pea gravel dining and seating area.

Now, let’s move inside.

It looks like this open living and dining area would get plenty of gorgeous natural light if you removed the old vertical blinds.  I would also remove the brick partition and hope that there is hardwood floors under the carpet.

All this room needs is a little fresh paint.  And fresh linens.

I really like this built in dresser.  Just add art!

So what do you think?  Call me if you’d like to take a look inside.

*Home is active on the market at the time of this post. If you read this at a later date, the home may be sold or off the market. Contact me to for more information or to find a similar home. All opinions are my own. And of course, there is nothing wrong with this house as it is.. I just got inspired to show what I would do.

As always, you have an eye for what will make a simple house into a place anyone would love to own.

  2. I love your inspiration pics too! The bathroom pic has some real similarities to what’s planned for our master bath. I can’t wait!
