This home has been on the market for a while and I always wonder what the heck is keeping it from selling. It really doesn’t need any remodeling but I have a few ideas of quick fixes that could really elevate the look.
You could keep the traditional look or you could very easily make it a modern farmhouse if you added wood shutters on all the windows! Line the front porch with matching Adirondack chairs.
I’d wrap the pillars with wood.
This large, 5707 sqft home has a formal sitting room and a family room on the main level.
The french doors would really stand out with a coat of black paint.
I really like the molding on the fireplace.
The formal dining room is very spacious! How cool would this room look painted in a rich color with a mural on the walls or ceiling.
Kitchen has tons of storage. The design is fine as-is or you could paint the cabinets, update the backsplash and beef up the island by building out the sides where the counter top overhang is. Or you could ditch the breakfast nook and put in a large square island or double island.
I love that the master bedroom has enough room for a seating area.
It’s hard to tell in this picture, but check out the detail in the floors. I love the black border.
Large closet! How great would be with built-in storage.
This bonus room is awesome! And I love the rug.. I’d as the sellers to leave it if I bought this home.
Powder room has nice tall ceilings. This would be a great room to have fun with wallpaper.
The laundry room is so so good. LOVE the sink and LOVE the stained glass window. Imagine the cabinets painted a deep emerald green to make that stained glass POP!
This room is also great. Who couldn’t use a great mudroom!? I would definitely paint the room dark green. Walls, ceiling and molding. Then add a few more of those light fixtures down the length of the room.
The rooms are all large and I love the angled ceilings.
There is even a sitting room off the bedroom. It’d be a great playroom/game room for kids OR an awesome Mother In Law Suite!
Again, I love the angled ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms! There is one more room just like this. I’d just move the bed directly under the window (if there’s room) to make the angels a real architectural moment.
The home sits on a 4.43 acre lot. Plenty of room to spread out and relax!
The patio would be extra cool with a pergola over the top. Or, simply string some outdoor cafe lights and enjoy summer night dinners on the patio.
